Artwork guidelines
Best files to send
AI, EPS or editable PDF for print. High-quality PNG or JPG may also be suitable.
What to avoid
Screenshots, small web images, heavily compressed files and photos of a logo taken from a screen.
Artwork checks
Check spelling, colours and placement before ordering. If we spot an issue, we may contact you before production.
Supplying your logo or artwork
Good quality artwork helps us produce a cleaner result when your logo, text or design is embroidered or printed onto workwear. Please upload the best version of your artwork available when placing your order.
If the file supplied is not suitable for production, our team may contact you to request a better version or discuss artwork preparation before your order moves forward.
Preferred file types
For printing, vector artwork is usually the best option. Suitable vector files may include AI, EPS or editable PDF files created from the original artwork.
High-quality PNG or JPG files may also be suitable, especially for simpler logos or online uploads. For the best result, avoid screenshots, small web images, heavily compressed files or photos of a logo taken from a screen.
Artwork quality
Artwork should be clear, sharp and supplied at the highest resolution you have. If you zoom into the file and the edges look blurry, blocky or jagged, the file may not be suitable for clean print or embroidery.
If your design includes text, please check that all spelling, names, numbers and wording are correct before submitting your order.
Transparent backgrounds
Where possible, supply your logo with a transparent background. PNG files are often useful for this because they can preserve transparency.
A transparent background helps avoid unwanted white boxes or background colours appearing around your logo. If your file has a background that should not be printed or embroidered, please make this clear in your order notes.
Embroidery artwork
Embroidery works differently from print because the artwork has to be prepared as a stitch file. Very small text, thin lines, gradients, shadows and fine detail may need to be simplified so the stitched result looks clean and readable.
Embroidered logos and embroidered text may include a one-time setup charge. Once a logo has been prepared for embroidery, repeat orders using the same prepared artwork should not need the same setup charge again.
Print artwork
Print artwork should be supplied as cleanly as possible, with strong edges and clear colours. If you have brand colours, Pantone references or specific colour requirements, please include them with your order notes.
Printing setup is free, but the final print result still depends on the quality of the artwork, the garment, the print position and the chosen decoration method.
Positions and sizing
Available embroidery and print positions depend on the garment and the selected customisation method. Common positions include left breast, right breast, sleeve, back neck, large front and large back.
Some designs may need to be resized or adjusted to suit the selected garment and placement. Our team may advise if a design is too detailed, too small or unsuitable for the position selected.
Artwork checks and order approval
Please check your artwork, spelling, colours, placement and order details carefully before completing your order. Customer-supplied logos and text are produced based on the details provided with the order.
If we spot an issue that may affect production quality, we may contact you before proceeding. Supplying clear artwork and accurate order notes helps avoid delays.
